Know what pauses, what keeps working, and your two ways forward.

Empty means paused, never billed.

1
Understand the state: when your monthly allowance and your pool are both empty, usage pauses. There is no overage billing and no surprise charge.
2
Know what pauses: anything that runs the AI, so generating content and compliance checks (Check for Concerns, Auto-fix, and checks in the builder, broadcasts, workflows, and designer).
3
Know what keeps working: your Library, Check History, the Risk Heatmap, applying suggested rewrites from a check you already ran, and the free public scanner on the website.
4
Check Settings, Generations for your reset date: the allowance refills each billing cycle.
5
Pick your way forward: buy a top-up (200/$60, 500/$140, 1,000/$260 CAD, never expires) or upgrade your plan for a bigger monthly allowance.

Tips and good to know

lightbulb

lightbulb
Pausing instead of overage billing is deliberate: your bill stays predictable.
