What is the generation pool

Understand what uses a generation, what is free, and the two buckets generations come from.

Allowance first, pool second.
1
Know the rule: a generation is one run of Kannlicit's AI, whether it is creating content or running a full compliance review.
2
What uses a generation: creating content with any generator (its built-in compliance check is included, so one generation, not two); each Check for Concerns run in the Compliance Checker; Auto-fix all concerns; re-checking a saved Library item; and email-builder, broadcast, workflow, and designer compliance checks.
3
What is free: applying a suggested rewrite (and the automatic re-check right after); viewing Check History or the Risk Heatmap; and the free public scanner on the website.
4
Your plan includes a monthly allowance that resets each billing cycle. Top-up packs add to your generation pool: the allowance is used first, the pool only after it is spent, and pool generations never expire.
5
Track both in Settings, Generations: allowance progress with the reset date, and the pool balance.

Tips and good to know

lightbulb
There is no overage billing. When the allowance and the pool are both empty, usage pauses until your reset or your next top-up. Nothing surprise-bills you.
lightbulb
Because the pool never expires, buying a top-up "just in case" is safe: it waits until you need it.
