Connect your email sending domain

Verify your own domain so your emails come from you (like hello@yourbrand.ca), with DNS records Kannlicit gives you.

The Settings Email tab with the domain setup started

Before you start

Have access to your domain's DNS settings at your registrar.

1
Open Settings, then the Email tab, and start the setup.
2
Enter a sending subdomain. A mail. subdomain is recommended to protect your main domain's reputation.
3
Copy the DNS records Kannlicit gives you: SPF, DKIM, and optionally DMARC.

Add each record exactly as shown.

4
Add each record at your registrar. Enter only the host part Kannlicit shows; a common mistake is putting the domain into the host field twice.
5
Click Verify. DNS can take minutes to a few hours. Until it verifies, sends from that domain are blocked and the UI warns you.
6
Once the domain shows green, send a test email.

Green means go: test, then send for real.

7
Use the domain in your broadcasts and automations, and set your from-name and reply-to.

Tips and good to know

lightbulb
The from email in the broadcast wizard must use a verified sending domain, so this setup is a prerequisite for sending.

If verification stalls, the usual culprit is the doubled-domain host mistake in step 4. See "My email domain is stuck on pending."
